Servings: 4

Ingredients:

Ribs (pork or beef)
2 cups sugar-free BBQ sauce (look for options with low net carbs)
1 cup unsweetened ketchup (low-carb or no-sugar-added)
3 tablespoons apple cider vinegar (or white vinegar)
1/2 cup brown sugar substitute (such as erythritol or monk fruit sweetener)
2 tsp Worcestershire sauce (check for low-carb versions)
Dash of hot sauce (adjust to your spice preference)
Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

Preheat your oven to 400ยฐF (200ยฐC).

Place the ribs in a single layer on a baking sheet and season them with salt and pepper to taste. Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes, then turn them over and bake for an additional 15 minutes. This process will help render excess juice from the meat.

In a medium-sized bowl, combine the sugar-free BBQ sauce, unsweetened ketchup, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar substitute, Worcestershire sauce, and a dash of hot sauce. Mix well.

Place the browned ribs in the crock pot. Pour the sauce mixture over the ribs.

Cook on low for 8-10 hours or on high for 4-6 hours, until the ribs are tender.

After the ribs are ready, brush them with additional sugar-free BBQ sauce.

To caramelize the sauce, transfer the ribs to an oven-proof dish and broil in your oven until the BBQ sauce gets caramelized. Watch them closely to prevent burning.
