  • 1 lb (450g) lean ground beef
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce (low-carb and sugar-free if preferred)
  • 1 cup water
  • 9 lasagna noodles, broken into pieces (about 2-inch pieces)
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 and 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)


  1. Turn on the Instant Pot to the “Sauté” mode. Add the lean ground beef to the pot and cook until it’s browned, breaking it into smaller pieces as it cooks.
